A very early issue, the first with French text, of this attractive, richly colored map of Iceland, which shows an erupting Mount Hekla. Its geography derives from a map produced by Gudbrandur Thorlaksson, Bishop of Holar and the author of the first complete Icelandic translation of the Bible.
