 A skillful rendering of South Beach cottages in Nantucket as seen from the water, with the steeple of the First Congregational Church in the background.  Though painted in the late 20^th century, the work evokes a simpler time.  Morse was a gifted amateur painter; this work took second prize in juried show at the Bierstadt Art Society in New Bedford in 1988.
